My Goal
Hi. My name is Amy Rowes and I have ADHD. I'm also the mom to two neurodivergent teens. I’m a certified teacher and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in the province of BC. I am also a certified ADHD clinical professional. I have been working as an individual and family counsellor for more than 16 years.
My goals in this practice are to help you:
- Understand what ADHD is and how your neurobiology works
- Create customized strategies and tools to help manage your symptoms
- Learn about emotional regulation and impulse control
- Learn how to advocate for yourself and help regulate your nervous system
- Create healthy boundaries in your life
- Enjoy your family and friends
- Dismantle our ableist society so you can live on your terms

- Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC
- 16 years of experience working with adults, families and children
- Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology
- Education Degree with a specialization in student's with disabilities
- ADHD clinical specialist certification
- 1 year Compassionate Inquiry Training with Dr. Gabor Mate
- 2 years of Somatic Experiencing Training based on the work of Dr. Peter Levine
- Advanced Polyvagal Training
- DBT trained
- EMDR Trained
- Have completed the Hoffman Process
